SET APART – JR. HIGH MINISTRY

1 Peter 1: 13-15
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

It is the desire of our Heavenly Father that we rest our hope fully upon the grace that is only found through faith in Jesus Christ. He therefore calls us to obedience, not conforming to our former ways but to be “SET APART” for His perfect plan for our lives. Therefore we put a great emphasis on the teaching, personal study and application of God’s word so that we may align our will with His will. We as parents and teachers need to exemplify this in our own lives and seek to disciple our Jr. High Youth through prayer, fellowship, the love of Jesus for them and the work of the Holy Spirit that only He can do.

SUNDAY SERVICE
The Jr. High Ministry meets during our regular Sunday Service time at 9am in the Jr. High Room. We mirror the service order in the Main Sanctuary by opening our service in prayer followed by youth ran worship, Scripture reading and the teaching of God’s word. We are currently studying the book of Colossians.

WEDNESDAY SERVICE
The Jr. High Ministry meets during our regular mid week Wednesday night service at 7pm. The youth are dismissed after corporate worship and prayer. We are currently studying Josh MacDowell’s Youth Devotional. We encouraged the youth to read their daily devotion, to spend personal time with the Lord and His word during the week.

We have various “Youth Worship Nights” through out the year that provides the youth of our fellowship an opportunity to invite their friends or unbelievers to a concert like atmosphere where the Gospel is preached and lives are transformed.
